Hi, I'm Al Jubaer.

I am Al Jubaer, a Senior Research Officer at icddr,b working at the intersection of geospatial technology, data science and public health. For over eight years I have used GIS, remote sensing and machine learning to understand climate risk, disease patterns and environmental change in Bangladesh and South Asia — from mapping 296,000+ features on OpenStreetMap to building cholera early-warning systems.

To apply geospatial technologies, earth observation and data science to problems that matter — public health, climate resilience and environmental change — and to build tools that make that analysis usable by the people who need it.
